Topic: MADIface / ADI-2 USB driver (Win)

Hi, I have a question about the behaviour of the MADIface USB driver under Windows 11 22H2.

My ADI-2 Pro FS works perfectly with it (what a great converter, by the way!), but I'm curious why it shows up in the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" menu in the Windows taskbar.

Here's an illustration:

It feels strange to see an audio interface listed here. Is this normal or do I need to change a parameter somewhere?
Should I "eject" the ADI-2 before turning it off? I don't see anything about it in the manual.

Thanks for your help!

USB audio interfaces are portable/removable by definition (USB...), so they will be shown here. In case you encounter BSOD when switching off the ADI then you should Safe Remove it first. Otherwise this is not necessary.

Hmm, it does make sense now that you say it, but I preferred to ask as all my previous interfaces never showed up in this menu.

Thanks for the tip too, although fortunately I haven't had a BSOD in almost a decade now. Hopefully that will last even longer smile
