I've moved from an Intel iMac Pro to Mac Studio M1 Ultra (using Logic Pro X 10.7.8). I've updated the firmware of the 802 to 3.41 and also installed all the latest flash tools via USB.

I'm getting crazy CPU spikes when I connect to the 802 via TB 3-2 adaptor > TB 2 to Firewire adaptor > Firewire. On both my iMac Pro (OS Mojave) and MacBook Pro (OS Catalina), this connection chain was very solid for the last couple of years.  Even if I disconnect this chain and just plug the 802 directly into the Mac Studio via USB 2 I'm still getting the CPU spikes. If I use the Apple Studio display to connect audio in / out I'm getting no CPU spikes, so pretty sure this is not a Logic Pro X issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on what's happening?
