Topic: How to connect subwoofer.

Hello all,

I recently purchased a subwoofer and i would like to advice me how to connect with my RME babyface. I already connected the subwoofer outputs (Jack) to Rca inputs of my Dynaudio BM5 monitors. But how to connect the RME with the sub? The sub (a Mackie Mrs 10) has two RCA and two female XLR as inputs. The RME has as of now one available  Line in L XLR and one Jack (phones). The other Line in R XLR is used for microphone, and the two Line Out XLRs are used to connect the RME to the monitor. Any ideas?

Re: How to connect subwoofer.

I just had a look at the mackie and you go from the Babyface main outputs to the subwoofer inputs. Then from the subwoofer outputs to the BM5s. I would used balanced XLR cables for all r=the connections. You then set the crossover frequency on the mackie and balance the output of it. You don’t need to use another output from the bfp. Just the main outs into the mackie.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.
