Topic: ADI-2 DAC FS version

I recently obtained a used ADI-2 DAC FS but was not 100% sure which version I got. I did some search online including this forum and learned that the version with AK4493 comes with "SD LD filter" and has a serial number that ends with a 'B'. However, the unit I got does have "SD LD filter" which suggests the existence of AK4493 but there is no "B" at the end of the serial number. Hence this is a little bit confusing to me.

Does anyone know if all unit equipped with AK4493 have serial number with B at the end? or that "B" has nothing to do with DAC chip version at all? Much appreciated!

Forget about the serial number, if it has the D/A filter "SD LD", then it is AK4493 based.

If it wouldn't have "SD LD" but "Brickwall" as D/A filter, then it would be the ESS model, otherwise the AK4490 model.
