Topic: SRC (sample rate converter) for UFX III and II (feature request)

Feature request for the next HW update of the flagship interfaces: UFX II and UFX III

It would be nice to have an SRC in the flagship interfaces, like now in the new Digiface AES.

Use cases:
- connection of DAT tape or guitar modeller
- devices with fix sample rate and which can only be used as clock master

Goals:
- keep RME recording interface as clock master
- decouple devices with fix clock with the DAW project, so that you are more flexible in the selection of sample rate for the project

Also here: a nice option which makes an RME product different to the competition … more advanced.

Re: SRC (sample rate converter) for UFX III and II (feature request)

I would absolutely use this--I am currently using a Digiface AES because it allows me to connect a non-synchronizable, 44.1kHz fixed source, but I'm missing the increased connectivity and FX feature-set of a UCX/UFX.

There are surprisingly few good external HW SRC solutions currently, and the used ones available take up 1U of rack space. Integration into the main interface is really nice to have.
