Topic: input levels shown on UFX+ compared to levels shown on MADI converter

Hi,
I'm testing a Ferrofish A16 mk2 as an additional converter connected via MADI to my UFX+.
When I compare the levels I see on the respective devices displays I see a difference of almost 10dB.

-signal is fed to the Ferrofish inputs, shown as MADI input 1/2 on the UFX+ display and totalmix,
-Ferrofish is showing say 10dB
-UFX is showing 19dB
*these values are approximate as it is difficult to read with precision on the small displays and meters, they are useful to have an idea of the difference I'm seeing.

I'm curious to know where is such gain increase happening.

Many thanks,
Luca

Using google you can find wave file with sinus signals, easier to read ...
Then compare using DIGIcheck if you want a larger scale.

Then deliver screenshots of settings and TM FX / DIGIcheck.

Ferrofish showing signals in dBu
RME showing in dBFS
The signal is the same but translated on the display in different standards ?

thank you @waedi and @ramses for the advice.
I'll be testing with the sine as I'll be done with some works.

Really curious

If you compare the signals in TM FX or in DIGIcheck, then you will have the same metrics ..
