Topic: Kernel Extension issue

Hi guys,

after updating to Ventura I thought hit would be a good idea to run the newest driver for the Babyface FS as well.
However an issue came up. The problem is that I keep seeing the number of MIDI ports (inputs and outputs) change each second in Logic Pro X with an annoying pop-up that keeps on flashing back and forth endlessly.
RME's error message is "Concurrently running RME USB kernel extension detected! Please try to reboot your computer. If this message persist, disable third party kernel extensions in security policy."

Not sure if they mean adjusting security settings as per the trouble shooting page: https://www.rme-audio.de/rme-macos.html
But I have run the Firmware update as suggested in the read me file of the drive and indeed also set the security prefs in safe mode  as described in the troubleshooting page.

An official support ticket has been made but last time it took ages to get a response and I can't use delays.
Can anybody advise me on this issue on a short notice?

Regards,

Vincent

Re: Kernel Extension issue

Hi
So you now have the driver v4.08 installed?

UCX - FF 400 - Babyface pro - Digiface USB - ADI-2 (original)
Mac mini M1 - Macbook pro - iPad Air2

Re: Kernel Extension issue

Thank you for sharing.
I reset the security in safe mode hoping I'm not deleting any other extensions I might need but am unaware of currently.
But this did clear the RME error message. So problem solved!
Thank you, I appreciate it a lot.
