Gents,

Sorry if this was already covered...

Have Babyface PRO FS. Amazing card, love it, RME - bravo!

I want to upgrade my game to use:
- good AD/DA converter for mastering chaing AND
- separate AES outs for Genelecs.

Will ADI-2 Pro FS will allow to do so?
Basically, to rout separate digital out to AES channel via Totalmix FX.

Ie.:
- Babyface via ADAT to ADI-2 PRO FS
- Digital monitors via AES.
If this is not possible, what you should suggest me to look at.

If you want to use the AES input of the Genelecs then you don't need a AD/DA converter, the Genelecs have built-in converter when use AES.

DA/AD is needed for external hardware mastering chain.
Hardware compressors and saturators....

Then the ADI-2 is an excellent choice, but it has no Totalmix.
An UFX lll would offer all In/Out and more.
