Is there any way to update the firmware in an ADI-2?
Just as importantly, is there any REASON to want to update it anyway?
I just bought a used ADI-2 (which works perfectly), and the firmware appears to be 1.2 according to the meter light indicators when it powers on.

The latest firmware for ADI-2 with orange QS LED is 1.3. This one includes some nice improvements:
- automatic mute when changing the sample rate for 6 ms, removes click.
- Support for ADAT S/MUX and S/MUX4
- new function Digital to Digital (passthrough with monitoring and ADAT to SPDIF and SPDIF to ADAT converter)
Send the unit to your local distributor for an EPROM update. This update is not for free.
I think I'll just leave it as it is. I don't use any of those features, nor do I ever switch it off of 44.1 internal clock, so I think I'm good. Definitely doesn't seem worth the down time or additional financial expense. Thanks.
