Topic: Hardware inserts pre ADC

Hi, I'm looking to move away from a complicated mixer and Motu setup and want hardware inserts pre-ADC. Does the internal routing of an RME UCX ii stay analog? Say, routing hardware inputs 1/2 to hardware outputs 1/2 and then back into hardware inputs 3/4. I'm not a fan of multiple conversions.

The blockdiagram shows no analog routing only digital, therefor the answer is :
no.

Thanks! Looks like I'll be keeping my hardware mixer. Still considering the ucx ii.

If you can proceede inserts in digital, you could use UCX and Digiface USB. I use Digiface USB for routing digital inserts. The only disadvantage of Digiface USB is that it is not designed for standalone usage. If that matters to you.
