Topic: [Solved] Analyzing SCMS status of SPDIF input.

Hello,

I'm trying to analyze SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) bit status of my TV's SPDIF output.

I brought RME HDSPe RayDAT sound card. I have connected TV's SPDIF output to "ADAT4 IN" port in RME HDSPe RayDAT sound card.

I have configured "ADTA4" as "SPDIF In" in Hammarfall DSP Settings. I can see in DIGICHECK 4-bar Level meter that TV's sound is detected.

But in DIGICHECK "Channel status Display" function, I get "No Channel status data available for selected device". But I would like see SCMS status.

Am I missing any settings? Sorry, newbie to audio.

Regards,
Prathap

Re: [Solved] Analyzing SCMS status of SPDIF input.

Hello!

In the HDSP Settings, you should, also, set "Clock Source" to "Optical In4"

Then, In DigiCheck, go to Options -> Input Device Setup
- set ASIO Driver to "Hammerfall DSP ASIO"
- set Device(1) + (2), accordingly
- set Channel (L) to "SPDIF L"
- set Channel (R) to "SPDIF R"
and set "Source" for both to "Input".

That should do the trick!! smile

Re: [Solved] Analyzing SCMS status of SPDIF input.

Hello!

Thanks for the input. But even after selecting the configuration you suggested, the "Channel status Display" function, still says "No Channel status data available for selected device".

Sorry I couldn't upload screenshot. But I provided my settings below. Could you please help me with what am I missing here?

Hammerfall DSP Settings
Buffersize: 256
WDM Devices: Stereo
Clock Mode:
Sample rate: 48000Hz (Not possible to change)
Clock Source: ADAT 4 In
Pitch: 0.000%
SPDIF_IN: ADAT 4
Input status: SPDIF - Sync - 48Khz (others options are "No Lock")

InputDevice Setup: As you mentioned in the above comment.

Re: [Solved] Analyzing SCMS status of SPDIF input.

Hello,

It wasn't.  After enabling TMS option in Settings dialog, I can get the information in "Channel status Display" function. Thank you very much for the help. Much appreciated.
