Topic: Hardware Wah Pedal as insert effect? SOLVED

This might be a strange application. I’m using a UCX II for live work running live guitar and vocals through into the iOS app Loopy Pro. I have two separate guitars going in their own inputs. I use a hardware wah pedal and would like to run it as an insert effect so I can use it on both guitars. I have it hooked up from output 5 into the wah input and the wah output into input 5. I’ve followed this video but my comprehension seems to be lacking. https://youtu.be/jlRQbV2LcFg?si=xSUS8cv4EwNjD6Ho

Is this even possible? Thanks in advance

Re: Hardware Wah Pedal as insert effect? SOLVED

it's not a strange thing, you just have to be familiar with Totalmix routing.
Look out for all Totalmix RME-Youtube videos.
And practice the demonstration.
From what you wrote the Wahwah pedal is connected the right way.
Has your guitars the right amount of signal ?
Then proceed and send guitar to output 5.
Click on that output channel 5 and rise up the fader of the guitar input channel.
Can you see now the return signal from the wahwah on input channel 5 ?
Great ! The DAW receives that signal on input channel 5 as well.
Click the Main-out and rise-up the fader of the input channel 5 !
Now you should hear the Wahwah on your speakers (Main-out)
Please try

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Thank you! I took a slow read through your answer and got it working. It works just as intended. Amazing!
