Topic: getting digiface SPDIF to show up

hi all
I have a digiface interface with 4 AD front ends coming in from my many old analogue synth.
This works great for recording audio but my DAW MIDI sucks

It's sloppy compared to say a standalone unit like a AKAI Live II and so I have been looking for a solution.

expert sleepers do a silent way SPDIF and midi expansion unit

My question is..
How to I get the SPDIF option to appear in Cubase?

I have all but one of the outputs from the digiface used with the AD frontends
I have changed the output on this one from ADAT to SPDIF but don't see it in Cubase

I just want to check the expert sleepers stuff will interface with the RME before I shell out the cash


any help most appreciated

It won't change/appear in Cubase, just choose the first pair of each ADAT set.

Yes I was able to try a small SPDIF to analogue audio converter to check that I was able to get audio from Cubase by assigning the first pair, 25 and 26 outputs

That means I should be able to drive the expert sleepers VST program and therefore the ES-40 hardware

appreciate the help and sorry for the noobish question. I just have always used straight audio through ADAT and though SPDIF was just not showing up
