Hi there!

I am building a studio and looking for some advice on I/O efficiency.

I have a top floor and bottom floor I am refurbishing. Top floor includes the control room and live room - bottom floor is used as a drum room/live room.
I intend to have a 24 input setup between the two floors with the option of using all 24 inputs on the bottom floor if needed (if a band wants to be in the same space and see each other). 

Ideally, I would want the option of using the 24 inputs on the bottom floor as well as having the inputs on the top floor set up permanently.

To allow minimal cable runs between the floors, I was hoping to run a wall patch from the bottom floor live room (24 inputs) over DANTE into an RME 12MicD and an RME Fireface 802 connected between each other via ADAT on the top floor giving me the appropriate inputs.
All I/O would preferably be controlled via TotalMix.

Would this be a possibility or is there another configuration to consider?
