Topic: Digital cracking/interference sssue with RME HDSPE AES soundcard

**Issue with RME HDSPE AES soundcard

Hello, I have been having issues with this soundcard for sometime now. I have been through at least 3 soundcards (The same make and model) and getting no where.

I have changed PCI slots/changed every setting possible on Total Mix & Hammerfall/updated firmware but still getting cracking popping issues.

This is being ran though a HP EliteDesk 800 G4 WKS TWR on Windows 10 22H2 and outputed to a Yamaha PM1D via AES3 and shares the Word clock from a rosendahl nanosync.

It picks up 48 from the rosendahl nanosync so it's not a clock issue.

I have ran this through a Redbox AES3 - analogue converter into another mixing desk and still the same issues. I have tried different AES3 outputs too on the D-sub out on the both cards.

Has there been something I have overlooked?

Here is the a video demonstrating the interference. It's not intermittent and only happens during playback.

Has anyone dealt with this sort of issue before? Is there a fix?

Re: Digital cracking/interference sssue with RME HDSPE AES soundcard

You can test the card alone by looping an AES signal from the output to input.
Play a sound to the output and record it with the AES card on internal clock source.

- Are there any click or pops on the recording?
