I need some advice.
Is it worth buying such an almost 20-year-old RME in 2024?
It would work between a WIIM Pro and a HIFIMAN XS.
I will use it only with headphones.
The other version is a new FIIO K7. A newer RME does not fit into the budget.

But only if the price is right. And does the WIIM not have a headphones out? I am not sure you should expect a real difference if it does.

The WIIM does not have a headphone output.
My budget is about 350-400€.
This is how much this older RME costs.

I have one of these interfacing with/clocking a Quantec Yardstick into a TT patchbay. These interfaces are an excellent tool for all sorts of uses.
