Topic: Strange quirk with Digiface Dante (WDM Device Configuration)

With every RME interface I've owned (10+) when I select/deselect devices in the WDM Device Configuration window, and then hit "OK", WDM devices in Windows are updated shortly after. However, with the Digiface Dante after hitting "OK" nothing changes based on my selection, and I have to hot plug the USB connection.

Manual seems to state that devices will update without a hot plug as well. Page 15, section 7.2 "WDM Configuration":

After leaving the dialog with OK the WDM devices are reloaded so Windows sees their new properties.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Instead of hot-plugging you could change the sample rate to a different value and back - should work as well.

With the Digiface Dante the sample rate is locked unless disconnected from the Dante network, no?

Well, in my setup, hot-plugging the USB is the least disruptive method of updating the WDM devices then. A bit inconvenient, but not a huge deal.

Always interesting to find these little differences between RME interfaces. Doesn't happen often.
