Topic: DIGIFACE Dante+ Solid State Logic MADI Opti-Coax Format Converter

Hello,
  I have the RME Dante interface and I also have the RME 12mic (avb).  I would like to use the MADI coaxial feature.  I already have 100’ of tactical MADI optical cable SC/LC .  I really like the form factor- light weight.  I already use the RME connector app to my ufx+. 

My question is, has anyone tried using the SSL coax to optical converter to connect the 12mic to the DIGIFACE Dante? Ild like to stick to the optical cable instead of coaxial.  Could you still use the connector app to use midi over
Madi to control the preamps?

Could you still use [...] midi over Madi

Please ask SSL if MADI user bits are passed on (ie. if it is fully transparent). If it does, there should not be an issue to use it.
