Topic: fireface ufx2 - best way to route instrument inputs to the rear

I have just bought a new UFXII and i'm about to build a small bedroom studio, I don't want to have my instrument cables coming through the front inputs as it would be too messy - what is the best solution to bring them to the rear? a patchbay in the rack unit directly below the UFX and then short patch cables going from the RME's inputs?

any suggestions welcome!

Re: fireface ufx2 - best way to route instrument inputs to the rear

A patchbay is made for exactly this use I would say. As an alternative (cheaper but less tidy) solution, you could use short cables plugged to the back side of the UFX and with female plugs (labelled) guided to the front through some space in the rack.
