Topic: Sending sounds out into hardware and coming back early

I'm having issues with sending sounds out to hardware and returning back to logic pro.

It's either coming back late or early but never on time I've obviously done the basics like getting the buffer size as low as can be (128) and pinging the hardware via the I/O.

I never used to have this problem with my ufx ii and this honestly has me a little stumped.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

I'm running a UFX+ (via thunderbolt), mac studio m2ultra

Re: Sending sounds out into hardware and coming back early

In Logic the return track is free of plugins, right ?

What external unit is this ?
Some digital effect units from the 90s can produce it's own latency.

M1-Sonoma, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Re: Sending sounds out into hardware and coming back early

I'm running my drum bus out to an SSL bus+ and my guitar bus to a pair of Black lion audio Bluey's and a bass to a klark teknik la2a clone. wether i've got plugins enabled or not it's giving me this issue.

Re: Sending sounds out into hardware and coming back early

Is it meant the different buses are not accurate to each other (so to say they have different runtimes) or is it meant, the processed re-recorded signals are not accurate to the original tracks?
And all goes thru the i/o (external efx) plugins (multiple instances of course)?
