Topic: Totalmix FX standalone

Hello

I think I know the answer to my question, but would like to confirm:

Can any interface (let’s say UFX III) operate in standalone mode and have Totalmix controlled from an iPad via Wifi; no computer connected and no direct connection from iPad to interface?

Or is it the case that to control Totalmix via iPad the interface has to be connected to a computer via USB, with Totalmix then running on that computer and the iPad acting as a remote?

Am trying to choose between MOTU/AVB and RME for 32-input line level system; would like the option of standalone mix control (ie like a digital mixer) via iOS.

Cheers

Re: Totalmix FX standalone

UFX lll has no Wifi, this cancels out your first scene.
Scenario 2 is true.
Is that iPad a new one with USB-C connector ?
Why not connect the UFX directly to the iPad and use Totalmix on the iPad ?
Logic is available for iPad and you can record and play all on the iPad - with a USB cable to the interface.
Wifi only is possible with a computer that has Wifi or network connection to a Wifi.
