Topic: sos : babyface pro fs not recognized on windows (for no reason)

Hello, today I turned on my computer and windows had no sound device

I unpluged all other usb devices
I tried a different port

the babyface is turned on
I tried to make sure to switch in PC mode
I reinstalled the drivers

the fireface is not found on the windows sound device panel
the "RME babyface pro" DOES appear on the device manager

fut_usb.exe detects the fireface after driver reinstallation, and it did update it, but still not found on windows (current revision = 320)

I can open fireface USB settings panel after drivers reinstall but still not found on windows hmm

anyone please ?

In the Fireface Settings Dialog there is a field for a number of WDM device, make this 1 or bigger, not zero.

I am so dumb ! this was the fix indeed

altough the fireface settings wasn't opening before reinstall

Glad you can work and thanks for pointing out it is in PC-mode.
This would have been the first question, is it in PC-mode ?
You have some knowledge, nothing can stop you from working thru the whole user manual page by page.
