I'm noticing (with my fireface ucx 2) that there's a 'crackling' sound whenever I, for instance, switch between 'output' and 'input' in my apple's 'Sound' settings.
It makes this noise also when doing someting like playing or pausing a youtube video.
In Totalmix in the software playback channels, is this crackeling visible there ? Is this crackeling all the time until you play again something or is it for a short duration ?
Also please tell, is it Windows computer or a Mac ? What driver and firmware version number ?
It's visible in the playback channel. It's as if the vu meter level is 'pausing' while it's 'crackling'.
it's a short duration. For instance, I press 'play' on a youtube video and the crackling happens for about a second and then goes away. Returns the same when I press 'play/pause'.
Mac 13.6.6
firmware is v106, driver is v4.10
Similar issues have been around with this OS and went away after upgrade to Sonoma, I recommend the upgrade.
updated to sonoma. 'crackling' seems to have gone away. Thank you!
