Topic: Recording a livemix with iPad and Totalmix FX

I use Fireface UCX and iPad Pro with Totalmix FX for livemixing. All 8 analogue input channels of the UCX are used. This works well. But can I also RECORD my livemix on the same iPad Pro (for example with an IOS DAW app such as Auria)? Any suggestions how to do this in the best way are welcome! Here is one way I found how it should work, but maybe there are better ways to do it:

MIXING

Connect the UCX to the ipad and switch to CC class compliant mode
In Totalmix > Settings > RME Interface Settings > activate "EQ+D for record"
(so that EQ and other insert fx are recorded)

Set Totalmix to Routing Mode "Submix"
Select an unused digital output such as ADAT 3/4
Route all 8 analogue inputs to ADAT 3/4
Click on "CUE" and "Loopback" in the ADAT 3/4 Channel
Now I can make a livemix and listen to it:
If Master Out is assigned to analogue out PH 7/8 >  I can listen to the mix with headphones
If Master Out is assigned to analogue out AN 1/2 >  I can listen to the mix on the PA

I can also bring in the Reverb and Echo of Totalmix by turning up the FX sends in the input channels and the FX return on the ADAT 3/4 channel.

Finally, I can save the whole configuration as a "workspace" in Totalmix

RECORDING

In Auria, I need to switch off Record Monitoring to avoid Feedback
I use one stereo channel to record
I activate recording select Input 13/14 which is ADAT 3/4
Now I can hear the mix that comes in from Totalmix FX (ADAT 3/4 Loopback)
I start recording and switch to Totalmix to make the livemix
When the livemix is finished, I switch back to Auria, stop recording
To hear the recorded file from Auria on my headphones, I need to disable "CUE" on ADAT 3/4 and assign MASTER to PH 7/8.
To hear the recorded file from Auria on the speakers, I assign MASTER to AN 1/2.

POST

To work with the recorded files, I connect my iPad to my Desktop Mac, drag the project to my desktop and then I can access the file via right click and "show package content"

Thanks for any suggestions, if there is a better way to record a livemix on the same Ipad that is controlling Totalmix FX!
