Hello!

I’m going to switch from my Babyface Pro to Babyface Pro FS, since it has some advantages, by my taste:
- SteadyClock FS
- Better ADs and their specs

However, as far as I know, the current production of Babyfaces Pro FS use:
- AK5574EN in an AD stage
- but ES9017 in a DA stage

I’m not a big fan of ESS chips and their sound signature (edgy and mid-forwarded sound) and always preferred “velvet” AKM.

My questions are:
- Were there any times when Babyfaces Pro FS have been produced with AKM chips in a DA stage? Or they always have been based on ESS?
- If yes, is there any way to determine which unit uses AKM and which ESS?
- What do you think guys, do the ESS units sound appropriate? Is the sound different in its vibe?
