Topic: USB input need repair

I have an RME ADI DAC whose USB input stopped working when a lightning strike very close to my house.
At this time my iPad was plugged into the DAC and was also being charged.

Bad current reached the DAC via the USB cable.  The adapter plugged into the iPad has stopped working due to overload.  Also another appliance in the house overloaded and stopped working.

Here is my question, is it possible that the USB input is repairable and at what cost?

Apart from the USB input everything works normally.

I did several tests with a PC, other Lightning to USB adapter without success.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: USB input need repair

Repair should be possible, but it's impossible to quote a price before the unit's been checked at the factory. Please contact your retailer or local distributor for service options.

Re: USB input need repair

@lachapellem,
Check if your home insurance contract covers this risk :
I had been a bit reimbursed after a lightning strike close to my house : sat tuner, TV, DVD/CD player, Logitech Transporter.
