Topic: How to connect rme ADI2-DAC FS to Workstation & iPad Pro (USB-C)

I have a Workstation (Always ON, acting also as JRiver MC & roon Server) connected via USB to my rme ADI-2 DAC FS to play pcm and DSD files. Monitor is connected through HDMI.

I want to integrate my iPad Pro in that environment.

Does one need a Docking Station with Optical Out to ADI-2 DAC FS or are there other ways of doing this (iPad output will be only pcm)?

Depending on your iPad you need to connect it with a Lightning camera adapter or with a USB-C cable or Adapter. Directly to the USB connection of the ADI-2 DAC.

The Workstation is already connected via USB. So the iPad Pro 2024 must use the optical inpute of ADI-2 DAC.

I want to connect two devices iPad and Workstation.
