Topic: [Solved] UFXII - Global Level Meter, "R"

On the far right-hand side of the Global Level Meter on the UFXII, there are two input level indicators with the letter "R" above them. What input level is indicated by these bars?

After looking into the user manual, I couldn't figure out either and being curious what it means.
The letter A stands for AES I guess, but the R is unknown.

Just guessing here, didn’t check. But isn’t it FX return?

Re: [Solved] UFXII - Global Level Meter, "R"

FX return would be input only not output, right ?
It is a stereo input and a stereo output

Re: [Solved] UFXII - Global Level Meter, "R"

May be the R comes from RCA coax connectors SPDIF used in earlier interfaces ?

The UCX ll still has this connector via D-sub and in the display also the R.

But on the UCX II global meter display S/P-DIF connections are labelled "S". "R" stands for something else.

I thought maybe had something to do with the the DURec recording (R) but I tried it, that's not the case either.

[ ] The "R" indicator stands for "Reject" — because even your audio gear knows when to say, "Nope, that's too loud, buddy!"

[ ] The "R" indicator stands for "Rejection," indicating that a channel has been rejected due to overload or another critical audio condition.

[ ] The "R" indicator stands for "Rejection" — it's your gear's way of saying, "Nice try, but not today!"

[ ] Nice features should be documented somewhere :-)

[ ] Google was no help.

Re: [Solved] UFXII - Global Level Meter, "R"

These meters show the same as the level meters in the TM FX FX panel (R short for Reverb/Echo). Should be obvioius by using those and seeing them show that signal.

Re: [Solved] UFXII - Global Level Meter, "R"

I am not using reverb and delay in my applications.
Thought that somebody looked already at FX, as it was already mentioned at the beginning of this thread.

Regarding, ChatGPT .. one more example that AI completely fails. Slowly I am loosing interest to look at it completely.
I knew already that the quality is poor. In this case, it sounded reasonable, as I had no other explanation at hand.
but was already wondering why it is also on outputs then.
