Topic: [Solved] Digiface Dante: MADI channels not showing in Totalmix

I just moved from Windows to Mac running a Digiface Dante.
I use the MADI channels for loopback purposes between Nuendo and Ableton Live. This worked on Windows, but on the Mac, I can select MADI channels in Channel layout, but they don't show in the TotalMix windows.

When I search for answers, I only have found suggestions to switch to USB3.

However, I am running USB3. This is confirmed by the blue LED on the device.

Any advice?

I would try a Total Reset in Totalmix, this also reset the channel layout.
Totalmix menu Options / Reset Mix / Total Reset

You may save a workspace before the reset.

Also be sure the SUB button is off.

Please give some more details. Are all MADI channels missing in Totalmix ?
Wich ones exactly ?
How does it look like ?

Sure, thanks.

I am able to select MADI 1 to 64 in channel layout.
I seem to be able to send audit to MADI channels from Ableton Live.
I have been able to select MADI channels in Nuendo.

So my conclusion was that for some reason, is TotalMix that is just not showing all the MADI channels.

I'm having trouble showing images. Sorry.

The channel layout you speak, this is in Totalmix menu Options / Channel layout, right ?
And the Totalmix mixer window has no Madi channels in it at all ? Is that the case ?

Settings dialog: BNC I/O is set to MADI? Or Word?

Problem solved. I don't understand why, but MC asked if BNC I/O was set to Word or MADI. I was set to Word. I changed to MADI. And now it works.

Can anyone explain the reason for this? I don't understand because I was able to assign MADI channels in both DAWs.
