Topic: Half-normal the XLR inputs on UFX III

I got some mics running through my RME's preamps and I really like those mics on those inputs. However, I just recently started tracking (drums) in Studio One by having some plugins on the inputs, among which I have put plugins on the RME's preamp inputs.
Yes I know that requires commiting to the sound, but is there a way to patch things inside S1 and or UFX III so I can get those inputs half normalled? Or in other words: so that I can track them both processed and unprocessed?
Thanks

Re: Half-normal the XLR inputs on UFX III

No idea how to do this in S1.
But you could route the inputs to free outputs and enable loopback recording there.
Then you get again the unmodified mic signal on the corresponding inputs.
If you have some ADAT or MADI channels free, you can use some of those.

The UFX III loopback implementation is "post-fader". So take care that the fader of HW outputs with loopback enabled (TM FX bottom row) are set at 0dB to get the full audio signal.
