Topic: RME UFXII Interface Audio Glitching in Discord, FaceTime, and Telegram

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help me out! I’m using an RME UFX II audio interface with my Mac with a connected external microphone to it, and while it works great as a microphone in apps like Zoom and Skype, I’m running into trouble with Discord, FaceTime, and Telegram.

Whenever I use these apps for audio calls, my voice cuts out every millisecond and glitches so badly that no one can understand what I’m saying. It’s really frustrating, and I’m not sure what to do to fix it.

Has anyone else had this issue or have any tips on how to get things working smoothly? I’d really appreciate any advice you can share!

Thanks so much!

If you test with a DAW ? Record your voice with Logic or Reaper ?
I guess then is no problem, right ?

These programs are all made for 2 audio channels, they mess up with multichannel systems .
You can use an additional tool like a virtual soundcard, Loopback from Rogue Amobea works well.
Put it in between and send the mic signal there and select it as audio device in the conference app.
This way the conference app no longer is connected to the multichannel interface, it sees only the two channel Loopback device.
