I'm looking for the highest audio quality PCI sound card solution for streaming from a Apple Mac to an external DAC. As this is home use - I don't need the sorts of capabilities used by sound studios - but I do want maximum audio quality.

Given this simple requirement - what would one recommend as appropriate from the RME PCI range?
