Topic: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

I'm trying to set-up Control Room so it only has one channel assigned (Main Out to Analog 1/2). I made sure the other assignments are all set to 'None' but for some reason two other channels remain in the Control Room section (I can adjust their faders and pan but not Cue/Mute states). Those same two channels also appear in Hardware Output section. Am I missing something in the settings/preferences?

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

I would try with the newest Totalmix :

If issue still persist then a total Reset would be the next try

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

Use the latest TM FX from the website (1.96). And / or perform a Total Reset.

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

Thanks for the replies. I tried both TM 1.96 and 197b1 drivers and Total resets (along with all the other resets) but unfortunately the two extra channels remain in Control Room. I did notice when I restart the PC and open the TM window then only one channel shows in Control Room but as soon as I press any Snapshot on the ARC USB then three channels show up.

Is there a way to reset or delete the saved Snapshots/Workspace presets?

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

21.7.1 Store for Current or All Users

TotalMix FX stores all settings, workspaces and snapshots for the current user in:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\ Username\Local Settings\ Application Data\TotalMixFX

Since Vista: C.\Users\Username\AppData\Local\TotalMixFX

Current User ensures that when workstations are used by several people they all find their own
settings. In case the settings should be identical or given for any user, TotalMix FX can be
changed to use the All User directory. An admin could even write protect the file lastBabyface
Pro1.xml, which results in a complete reset to that file’s content whenever TotalMix FX is re-
started. The xml-file is updated on exit, so simply set up TotalMix as desired and exit it (right
mouse click on the symbol in the notification area).

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

Thanks for the info. I tried deleting everything in the TM AppData folder but after I then restarted the PC it looks like the same Snapshots/mixer-setups are still being loaded. Is there anywhere else i should check?

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

You exited TM FX (right click on icon in notification area) before you deleted the folder? Then the Snapshots must be gone.

Re: [Solved] One channel in Control Room

Yep, right clicked 'exit' but checked and 'end process' TM in Task manager second time round and it seems to have done the trick. If I try load any old Workspaces the problem returns so I'll just re-build Snapshots.

Thanks for help and infos.

You could send us one of the old Workspaces to check.

Interesting - I can reproduce the issue with your Workspace. Great! We'll have a closer look.
