Topic: Firewire to TB2 Adapters

Does anyone know anywhere that is selling these adapters still? My attempts so far have all led to ‘not in stock’ messages plus if ordered an eventual cancellation by the supplier saying they couldn’t source anymore.

Re: Firewire to TB2 Adapters

Good luck. Ebay is probably the best chance.
As those are out of production they are sold out everywhere. Firewire had it's days.

That would mean: adapter failure > end of Fireface 800 :-(

until you find another working adapter.

Just because Apple no longer produce those, that don't mean the end.
Other manufacturers may offer a new one.

Cheap chinese Non-Apple adapters aren't known to work reliably...

That is what I had read here, too. But in lack of other solutions I would at least try those.

I've done a quick look on Ebay today out of interest. Used original Apple adapters go for up to 180 € today. WTF? I should have bought several back in the day!
