Topic: Total Mix FX and the x-touch Compact.

Hi Gang:

AS a second setup, I am using a portable setup with a Babyface Pro FS and an x-touch compact. So far, due to the absense of arrow keys, I am unable to access the various layers: in, out, and playback. Is there a way around this?

Thanks all over the place gang.

Re: Total Mix FX and the x-touch Compact.

From the user manual :

Select buttons – these 6 buttons
are typically used for DAW transport
applications (e.g. play, rec, stop). They can
also be reconfigured using the X-TOUCH
editor software.

May be the editor software allows you to turn those transport buttons into navigation buttons up down left right.

Hi:

Thanks so much for your post and for your willingness to help.

As I understand it, when the x-touch compact is in mackie mode, the software editor cannot access the hardware parameters.

Again, if the devs would expand the "Arc and Key Commands" to include such things as arrow keys, it would be very helpful: in fact, why not include all of the shortcut possibilities in a table and allowing an item to be assigned to any key.

Re: Total Mix FX and the x-touch Compact.

The X-Touch and the X-touch ONE has arrow-buttons, X-touch Compact has not.
I would ask the music store for exchanging the unit.
