Topic: Babyface and Audeze MM500

Hi,

I would like to know which headphone output should I use to drive my Audeze MM500 18 Ohms. According to the manufacturer, at least >100mw are required (>250mw recommended) so I thought first aboutf the 1/4" output, but the 3,5mm has 0.25 ohms so it suits better the low headphone impedance. I am lost.

Thank you very much and have a good day.

Re: Babyface and Audeze MM500

The impedanz of an output socket is nothing to worry about.
Your headphone comes with a headphone cable, very special one dedicated manufactured for the headphone.
The TRS plug fits to one of the sockets, use that one and you are fine.

The MM500 is a planar magnetic headphone with constant impedance over frequency. For this kind of headphone the output impedance of the amp is not relevant for sound, only for volume. Simply try which of the two work better for you.
