Topic: [Solved]ADI-2 How to send Analog in to Analog out?

I have bought secondhand ADI-2 and do not know, if I do something wrongly, or it is not possible, or unit is partially deffective....

I connected signal to analog inputs, set the input level appropriately (the volume meter shows signal), but there is no signal on analog out (neither phones, nor monitors).

AD works as converted signal goes to ADAT out. Also DA works as if I use ADAT in there is signal in phones and monitors. And also signal goes out from analog out, if I do loopback using ADAT.

So, what the cause might be, that analog in does not go to analog out? Or simply, do I try to achieve something that was not designed and intended for ADI-2? Most people would do DA-> process in analog -> AD, or AD -> process in digital DA, probably only few would do just AD->DA....

This is the original blue faceplate ADI-2? You cannot pass analog in to analog out on that model. You would need to patch the channels from within the audio interface (RME's Totalmix app for instance).

OK, so my ADI-2 is not defective and its setup not wrong. It just is not designed to have such a feature. I found in manual that ADI-2 fs can do it.

Note: I did not write it, but I have asked about standalone (without computer) use, so using DAW or TotalMix for routing of digital out of ADI to its in cannot be used. But I may use SPDIF cable or toslink.
