Topic: Fireface UFX III Recording Universal Audio UAFX Line Level input on AI

Hello  :-)
Am about to record my guitar with an amp sim from Universal Audio (UAFX Knuckles) and wondering if some one knows the correct   line level that is recommended for the line input on my AI?!?


I have this two options to chose from in TotalMix FX (I will record in stereo, line input 3 and 4)

+13dBu or +19dBu (RME Fireface UFXIII)

Hi Dennis

I only can tell how I would do this.
I would select +13dBu and if the signal does clipping then I would switch to +19dBu setting.
If you want to be on the safe side, select +19 dBu (you still have the gain knobs to make-up the signal if it is a bit low).
