Topic: Newer ADI-2 driver installs TotalMix FX

Hi there,

I recently updated my ADI-2 Pro FS drivers to the latest version (01/08/2025) on Windows 11, and noticed that TotalMix FX was installed (and set to start automatically on boot), even though my interface does not support it.

I understand that there have been a lot of changes with the latest drivers, so I just wanted to know if this was normal.

Thanks for your attention and best wishes for 2025!

It's normal, this is a unified driver supporting multiple interfaces. Since you do not need it, you can disable the app from running at system startup.

CTRL+ALT+DEL > Task Manager > Startup

Right click on the TotalMixFX.exe item and select Disable.

What he means is that with only an ADI unit installed in the system the old driver did not autostart TM FX. We will check that.

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. It's the first time I've seen TM FX on my system (with only an ADI-2), so I thought it might be useful to report it.
Thanks!

Re: Newer ADI-2 driver installs TotalMix FX

A new version 1.0 (01/10/2024) is up.

- Added to the installer: New option to install the driver without TotalMix FX. This equals the older driver, which did not (auto)start TotalMix in case only (!) ADI-2 series devices were installed and used on the computer.

You can either delete the existing autostart manually, or uninstall the 1.0 driver and install it again using this option. In both cases TM FX will not be started anymore.

Wow, that was quick! I've just tried the above (complete removal + reinstallation) and everything worked out perfectly. Thanks a lot!
