the Help-file from Digicheck 5.21 tells me for global record that a single click on the rewind-button while playback of a file will reverse the playback direction. at first this statment implied to me that i would have a smooth backwards-blackback, but instead i have a choppy forward-playback of small chops from the playback file. Of course the chops start in "reverse" order.

So i guess this function is not intended as a smooth backwards playback but rather a quick (choppy) "search" function within a file. or is something wrong with my fireface?
