Topic: FF 800 rear inputs 1&2 unbalanced no signal?

Hi,

I tried to use the rear inputs 1 & 2 by plugging in an unbalanced 1/4" Plug with a consumer level signal (output of a wireless microphone receiver). In the settings menu I switched input 1 to "rear" and "level in" to -10dBu. If I plug in the Plug completly I get no signal at all, only a little hum. Same at input 2. If I pull out the Plug a little I get a signal, but with to low level. Plugging the same plug and signal into input 3 - 8 I get a wonderful normal level. Same behavior (only hum) if I use a balanced cable. Output of the mic-receiver is balanced.

What's wrong with input 1 & 2? Damaged? Normal behavior? And if normal, why? Is there any workaround so that I can use the rear input 1 & 2 like the other rear inputs? By the way: Front input 1 works fine.

My equipment:
Macbook Pro 17, MacOs 10.6 Snow Leopard, Fireface 800, Driver 2.65, Unit #C426A6CB v2.47, Kernel driver v2.65, Logic Pro 9

Not normal - if you can spare the unit, send it in...
