No. It only works with the special MADIface ExpressCard.

As a rental company owner we now have lots of call for recording the MADI out streams from our digital consoles and our optocore system.
The only trouble is one, customer wants a Mac Book Pro or a Windows Laptop to Record and others want a Desktop machine.

It would be much easier (and cheaper) to keep a madiface interface box in the back of the console and plug it into the chosen hardware.

Just an Idea.

Yep.  This is one reason I really love the HDSP Digiface concept, and I have 4 BOB based systems mainly due to this convenience factor.  I'd assume a PCIe version of the MADI Express Card is possible, no?  Does it limit MADI's maximum track count when compared to the actual PCIe MADI HDSP cards for Desktops?
