Topic: Fireface + Multaface 2

Hi
Can someone advise me if I can use the FF800 and then using the spdif out, use the Multiface breakout box only to get an additional 8 outputs? I am hoping to get additional outputs to improve on my summing mixing. Is this at all possible? I have the Multiface II sitting around the studio with the PCI card (the older version). Thanks! My system is a Mac Pro Core 8 with Leopard and Cubase 5.

If you have the PCI card, you can do as intended, but with the ADAT connection..

Thanks for the input. I do have the PCI card but I am unsure how I would connect it to the Mac....
Can you tell me what I connect to what? Would this yield me 16 outputs in total then? Also, are the output quality types the same for both FF800 and Multiface 2? I intend on using maybe an SSL summing mixer and would love to have 16 analog outputs. Thanks.
