Topic: "Old" FF800 + TCO

Hello,

I have FF800 for few years and still using FUT 2.47 as I have read that old units need "small hardware modification" to work with higher Firmware. Now I am going to buy TCO. Should I make that "small modification" first or will it work with TCO and FUT2.70?

Hi,

where have you read that info, I have a FF800 from aug 2004
and no trouble to run latest drivers/fut on both PC & Mac
or does it mean small hardware modification with old FF800 to be able to run TCO at all !?

Hi,
I have bought mine in september 2005 (SN: 22456091)
I have had problem with one of FUT higher than 2.47 (do not remember exact number) and since then I do not update it according to what RME says:
"Revision 2.70 is only required when a TCO is used  with the Fireface 800. Else please use revision 2.47."
