Topic: FF800 not working via Firewire 800 conection on win 7

Hello

I'm trying to swich from FW400 to FW800 conection with my FF800 but although my computer recognizes the FF in the device maneger the unit host led is red and the DAW dosn"t recognize it
When i check for hardwere changes the red led turn off for a short time and turns on again

I'm runing on Win7 ultimate 32bit and thru a texass instruments FW card

I remember some reports of FW800 probs on Win XP but no info on this one

Any one ?

Did you install a FW800 card in the PC? Sometimes these come with special drivers from Unibrain. The Unibrain (or UBCORE) drivers are incompatible with audio/video FW devices - they are only for use with hard drives. If you see these listed in device manager under IEEE-1394 devices, uninstall and reboot the system. Windows should detect and install the generic OS FW driver.
