Topic: Do I Need To Uninstall The Software?

I have two audio PC's, one with a Fireface 800 and one with another interface.. I've bought another FF800 (Yay) and I want to put the new FF on the system where the old FF is, and use the old FF on system 2. Should I uninstall the software from system 1 when I swap the units? The FF drivers are the most recent.

What would the correct steps be? Is it as simple as (while everything is powered off) just swap out the Fireface's and power on and go to work?

Thanks

Not quite that simple, but you don't need to uninstall. Windows will probably make you install drivers again, they will just overwrite the last one.

So swap it out while powered off.. Power up and have the latest driver download ready to install, right? Yes, using Windows XP SP2..

Thank ya Jeff.. I'll have the Flash Update Tool too - install if it asks or install anyway?
