Topic: 2 RayDATs in one DAW?

I have an fairly powerful DAW (AMD 4-core running at 3.6gHz, 6 GB RAM at 1600 Mhz, 10,000 RPM SATA storage) running Nuendo 4 with a RayDAT. I can track 32 channels in and out @ 48kHz and the machine doesn't even breath hard (the VST preformance is around 5%). I am thinking of adding another RayDAT and bring the total tracking count up to 64 (I really only need 48, but the extras will come along anyway).

Do you think this is possible? Would the PCI bus be able to keep up?

Thanks/Danke!

yes

Re: 2 RayDATs in one DAW?

you can use up to 3 cards together. I have 2 RayDAT's in my hackintosh and everything works fine. :-)

Re: 2 RayDATs in one DAW?

Hello,
In a Nehalem Mac Pro running Snow Leopard, would you have to create an aggregate device to use 2 raydats?

Thanks

Yes, but don?t forget to sync them to the same word clock.

Re: 2 RayDATs in one DAW?

Thanks! Is anyone actually consistently using aggregate devices in snow leopard that are solid? I tried in leopard with 2 fireface 800's and it was very unstable (apparently regardless of which interfaces used).

Thanks again fro the info
