Topic: HDSPe AIO Treble and Bass Adjustments

I had recently purchased and installed my HDSPe AIO a few days ago.
What I was wondering though, is there any treble or bass adjustments in the software for this soundcard.
I just upgraded from a Creative Labs Audigy Pro 4 and noticed how flat the HDSPe's sound was.
I'd hate to have to go out and purchase a 15-31 band EQ when a simple low shelf and high shelf adjustment would do.
I use my computer for gaming as well as making music.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Re: HDSPe AIO Treble and Bass Adjustments

So you're saying the card is too flat in it's response? What are you monitoring through?

Isaac.

Re: HDSPe AIO Treble and Bass Adjustments

I'm monitoring through a power amp and nearfield monitors.  Yeah, with out an EQ or any treble or bass adjustment it is kind of flat.

I can easily compensate with a 18db low and high shelf filter in Cubase or most audio software.   The problem is while gaming the mids are too high.

I never had a "Pro Audio Card", maybe I'm missing something?

Re: HDSPe AIO Treble and Bass Adjustments

There is no EQ, and the card is supposed to be "flat", i.e. with no coloration of the sound... Maybe the sound of the games is tailored to have a strong midrange...?

Re: HDSPe AIO Treble and Bass Adjustments

I rectified my situation by sending the HDSPe AIO through a mixer and using the treble and bass adjusts.

Sorry for bugging should have thought of that first. fryingpan

Anyhow, everything's in working order...
