Topic: RayDAT slaving at 44099Hz??

running two HDSP(e) RayDAT cards (3.08.2, v11) in two different machines, one refuses to slave to WC at the correct rate, dropping 1Hz.

This means I have to run it as a master, which does not suit my needs as I want to sync both cards to a single external WC source.

I have tried everything, but I keep getting this 44099Hz if the card is in slave mode.

What explanation if any is there for this?

Is the card faulty?

I seriously want to avoid the hassle of swapping the cards over to check if it is indeed a malfunction.

Thanks.

Re: RayDAT slaving at 44099Hz??

'Slaved correctly' is not indicated by the coarse display of the sample rate, which is a guiding help and not an exact measurement tool, but by the display of SYNC only. In other words: your cards work perfectly.

OK, thanks for clarifying, I wasn't aware that it was only an approximation of the sample rate.
