Topic: pci vs pci-x vs pci-e

I have the opportunity to buy a HDSP9652 card, but the seller states it is PCI-X and has been used solely in a Mac G5.
Will this card work in a very modern PC board that has both PCI-express and regular PCI?

I am mostly concerned about the posibility that I will fry the rme card if my motheroard is set up for 5 volt pci and the card is expecting 3.3volts.

As you can tell I know just enough to get myself in trouble.

The motherboard in question is an ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 and I will be using one of the new 6 core AMD processors.

Thanks in anticipation, Ivan

Re: pci vs pci-x vs pci-e

The HDSP 9652 is PCI, and - like most PCI cards - PCI-X compatible.
